JAIL BIRD

POLICE KICKED DOWN A DOOR TO HELP SOMEONE WHO WAS YELLING "HELP ME!" . . . BUT IT WAS ONLY A COCKATOO:

Last Wednesday, residents of Trenton, New Jersey, called police after they heard someone yelling, "Help me! Help me!" inside a neighbor's house. When the police showed up at the house, they knocked on the door. But when no one answered . . . they kicked the door down to get inside. But instead of finding someone in need of help . . . they found a 10-year-old cockatoo named Luna yelling "Help me!" at the top of its lungs. See, apparently Luna watches a lot of TV . . . and the bird has actually learned to say all kinds of stuff in both English and Spanish. (Google News)
(--Interestingly enough, this isn't the first time authorities have been called because of Luna. Seven years ago, Luna was making sounds like a crying baby, and child welfare workers showed up to investigate the situation.)(--Check out a picture of Luna and her owner, Evelyn DeLeon, . . .)
