TWITTER QUITTER

THREE IN FIVE NEW TWITTER USERS QUIT WITHIN A MONTH:

Other than SWINE FLU, it seems like everybody's favorite topic of discussion these days . . . is TWITTER.

But if you take a look at the new numbers from (the tracking firm) Nielsen . . . it might not be that way for long. Why?

According to the report, THREE in FIVE new Twitter users . . . or 60% . . . quit using the social networking site within a MONTH.

And how's this for random? Before OPRAH got on Twitter earlier this month, only 30% of new Twitter users were still around after a month (--which means Oprah alone was worth a 10% boost to Twitter's retention rates). (Mashable)

(--In case you're wondering, Facebook and MySpace both have retention rates of about 70%.)
