LET IT OUT
SWEARING HELPS MAKE PAIN MORE TOLERABLE:
I don't know about you, but when I stub my toe or slam my finger in the car door . . . dropping an F-bomb or two really seems to help me deal with the pain. And, actually, that makes total sense . . .
--A new study from Keele University in England has found that CURSING can help make pain MORE TOLERABLE.
According to the researchers, swearing triggers the body's fight-or-flight response, which naturally increases a person's aggression . . . and their ability to handle pain.

A guy named Richard Stephens led the study. He says, quote, "Swearing has been around for centuries and is an almost universal human phenomenon. --"It taps into emotional brain centers and appears to arise in the right brain, whereas most language production occurs in the left cerebral hemisphere of the brain . . . Our research shows one potential reason why swearing developed and why it persists."
In other words, swearing is an INSTINCT humans developed . . . in order to increase their pain tolerance. (--And the fact that cursing is FUN is just an added bonus.) (Live Science)
