WORKING OUT

***FIVE WAYS TO STICK TO A WORKOUT***

Some days it's hard to get off the couch and get exercise. And once you make the decision to improve your health, it's even HARDER to keep at it. So here are five tips on how to make sure you keep exercising . . .

#1.) MAKE EXERCISE FUN. You're more likely to workout if you enjoy it. If you hate to run, DON'T force yourself to do it. Instead, take a dance class or join a softball league. Only commit to something you'll look forward to.

#2.) SCHEDULE YOUR WORKOUT. You're more likely to exercise if you set aside a SPECIFIC TIME each day. On the days you're feeling lazy, work out for at least 10 minutes. If you want to stop after 10, you can, but you'll probably keep going.

#3.) FIND A WORKOUT BUDDY. You're less likely to quit if you work out with ANOTHER PERSON. So, hire a trainer, or just work out with a friend. On the days you don't feel like making the effort, the other person will hold you accountable.

#4.) SET A GOAL. If you're trying to lose weight, know how many pounds you want to lose. If you time yourself when you run, try to beat that time the next time you work out. It will motivate you to keep going.

#5.) CHANGE YOUR WORKOUT. If you get bored, don't be afraid to CHANGE THINGS UP. Try a new class at the gym, hike different trails, learn a new sport, or find a new training program online. If you keep things interesting, you'll keep exercising.
