SOCIAL NETWORKING WARNING

YOUR FACEBOOK PAGE COULD PREVENT YOU FROM GETTING YOUR DREAM JOB:

If you're under the age of 40, there's a pretty decent chance you have a profile page on a social networking website like MySpace or Facebook. But if you do . . . you should be really careful about what you put up on your page. Why? According to a recent survey, 22% of hiring managers say they use social networking sites to research job candidates. And of those managers, ONE in THREE have found something that caused them to dismiss a job candidate from consideration.

--So what sort of stuff could prevent you from getting your dream job?

#1.) Posting information about drinking or using drugs.

#2.) Posting provocative or inappropriate pictures of yourself.

#3.) Demonstrating poor writing or communication skills.

#4.) Using an inappropriate screen name. (PR Newswire)
