SAVE SOME MONEY & THE EARTH!

***FOUR WAYS TO MAKE YOUR CAR MORE ECO-FRIENDLY***

So, you can't carpool to work . . . but that's not the only way to reduce the environmental impact of your daily commute. Here are 4 ways to cut down on your car's emissions . . .

#1.) GET YOUR VEHICLE SERVICED REGULARLY. Keeping your car in shape will increase your fuel efficiency, which is nice for both the environment AND your wallet.

#2.) CHECK YOUR TIRES. Under-inflated tires are a common cause of both carbon emissions and bad gas mileage. Checking your tires once a week is an easy way to help the environment.

#3.) SKIP THE DRIVE-THRU. It's not hard to figure out that leaving your car running for five minutes without going anywhere is a bad idea . . . Instead, park and order your food inside.

#4.) SLOW DOWN. Whether you're suddenly speeding up, or abruptly slowing down . . . it's horrible for your gas mileage . . . Instead, try to drive at a slower, steadier rate all the time. It's better for the environment, and you'll drive more safely. (About.com)
