NAZZY'S RANDOM STUFF

THE NUMBER OF FACEBOOK USERS ALMOST EQUALS THE ENTIRE U.S. POPULATION:

On Tuesday, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced that the number of users on the social networking site has passed the 300 MILLION mark. 70% of those users are located outside the United States. But get this . . .

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, there are 307 MILLION people in the U.S. That means there are nearly as many Facebook users as the entire U.S. population. (!!!)

With that in mind, here's a look at the ten most popular websites in the world:
#10.) Yahoo! Japan#9.) Baidu (--which is China's largest search engine)#8.) MSN#7.) Blogger.com#6.) Wikipedia#5.) Windows Live#4.) YouTube#3.) Yahoo!#2.) Facebook#1.) Google (CNN / Alexa)

(--If you were wondering, MySpace comes in at number 11 on the list. Which is shocking because, really, who uses MySpace anymore? And Twitter comes in at number 13, right behind Google India.)

And think about this: If Facebook is roughly the size of the U.S. population, and 30% of Facebook users are Americans, then that means nearly ONE in THREE Americans have a Facebook profile.

FANS VANDALIZED AN NFL PLAYER'S LAWN . . . BECAUSE HE FUMBLED AND LOST THE GAME:

It's no secret that some NFL fans lose their ever-loving minds when their favorite team loses . . . but THIS is a bit extreme. On Monday night, Buffalo Bills kick returner Leodis McKelvin fumbled the ball late in the game against the New England Patriots . . . and it cost the Bills the game. That upset two 16- year-old boys from a suburb of Buffalo called Hamburg. Which is understandable.

If McKelvin had just fallen down with the ball, the Bills could have run a few plays and won the game. Instead, Patriots stud quarterback Tom Brady threw a game-winning touchdown with just under a minute left.

So how did the two boys deal with their anger at McKelvin? They FOUND OUT WHERE HE LIVED and SPRAY PAINTED OBSCENITIES on his lawn.

Police aren't saying exactly what the kids wrote, only that it involved curse words, the final score of the game . . . New England Patriots 25, Buffalo Bills 24 . . . and the phrase ''Take a knee." That's football-speak for ''Just fall down and don't fumble."

Police also say they'll only arrest the boys if McKelvin wants to press charges. As of Wednesday afternoon, he didn't sound like he was going to. (WKBW TV)

(--Guys, I understand. Your team lost. Maybe you lost money on the game. But doesn't this reaction seem a little too "South American soccer fan?" Discuss.)

POLICE OFFICERS IN BULGARIA ARE GIVING OUT SALAMI TO SAFE DRIVERS:

On Tuesday, police officers in the capital of Bulgaria . . . a city called Sofia . . . announced that for the rest of the month, they'll be giving away FREE SALAMI to drivers who give the right of way to pedestrians at crosswalks.

Now, I know what you're thinking . . . don't pedestrians always have the right of way at marked crosswalks? --Yeah, they do. But in Bulgaria, drivers hardly ever allow pedestrians to cross the street. In fact, in the city of Sofia, more than half of all accident victims are on foot. --The free salami campaign is part of a larger road safety initiative designed to prevent so many schoolchildren from getting run over.
