JUSTIN BIEBER AND DEMI LOVATO: IS IT HAPPENING???

The not-always-reliable "Life & Style" magazine says that JUSTIN BIEBER and DEMI LOVATO have secretly hooked up. Just that they might be dating on the down-low. --A so-called "source" says Demi thought Justin was, quote, "very mature for his age" . . . not to mention an EXCELLENT KISSER. (--Demi is 18 . . . Justin is 16.)

IS KATY PERRY A 10 IN THE SACK?

KATY PERRY discusses her sexual prowess in the latest issue of "Now" magazine. She says, quote, "Like Ludacris rapped, 'I'm a lady in the street and a freak in the bed.' --"I can't rate myself, but if you ask Russell, I'm sure he'd give me a 10 out of 10." (--How humble. Isn't that just another way of saying, 'I'm a 10 out of 10"? Shut up, Katy.)

JESSICA CAPSHAW HAD HER BABY . . . MORE THAN A WEEK AGO:

JESSICA CAPSHAW gave birth to a baby girl over a week ago. She's the second child for Jessica and her husband, Christopher Gavigan. They named her Eve. They also have a 3-year-old son named Luke. --Eve was born on October 20th. There's no word why they waited so long to announce it. --Jessica is the daughter of KATE CAPSHAW, and the stepdaughter of STEVEN SPIELBERG. She plays Dr. Arizona Robbins on "Grey's Anatomy".

IAN ZIERING IS GOING TO BE A DAD:

IAN ZIERING . . . who played Steve Sanders on the original "Beverly Hills 90210" . . . is going to be a dad. --His wife Erin is a little over four months pregnant, and due in April. They're having a girl. (--Ian is 46. There's no word on Erin's age.)

ELI MANNING'S WIFE IS PREGNANT:

New York Giants quarterback ELI MANNING is going to be a dad. His wife Abby is pregnant and due sometime this spring. Eli and Abby have been married for more than two years. He's 29 . . . she's 26.

IS CHARLIE SHEEN IN A DEATH SPIRAL?

RadarOnline.com says that ever since CHARLIE SHEEN has been back from New York, he's been hitting the cocaine and hookers . . . HARD. --In fact, a supposed longtime friend tells them, quote, "Charlie Sheen is going to die this week." --Another source says, quote, "Charlie's cocaine use is out of control. The situation has gotten even worse. It's been a non-stop party of drugs and hookers since Charlie got home. --"He is completely out of control. No one can get through to him." --But Charlie's manager, Mark Burg, calls this talk, quote, "reckless lies." --Burg says that when he heard the reports, he went to Charlie's house . . . where he found Charlie sitting on the couch eating a turkey sandwich. And Charlie just looked at him and said, quote, "Way to knock, dude." (???) --He also said Charlie, quote, "looked as normal as he's looked in a long time" . . . and was looking forward to being back on the set of "Two and a Half Men" tomorrow.

CHARLIE SHEEN AND BROOKE MUELLER ARE SEPARATED:

It may seem obvious that CHARLIE SHEEN and BROOKE MUELLER are separated . . . but we've never really heard either one of them say it officially . . . until now. --Some paparazzi scumbags tailing Brooke the other day asked her if she was upset that Charlie might be "cheating" on her. --She replied, quote, "Charlie and I don't live together anymore, so he's kinda free to do whatever he wants to do." --She added, quote, "Charlie's not cheating on me, we're separated."

CELINE DION WAS SUPPOSED TO HAVE TRIPLETS, BUT SHE LOST ONE OF THE BABIES:

Just over a week ago, CELINE DION gave birth to healthy twin boys . . . who she named Nelson and Eddy. But it wasn't all good news. --Celine has revealed that she was originally pregnant with TRIPLETS. But one of them died soon after Celine found out she was pregnant. --In a Canadian TV interview that was recorded before she gave birth, Celine said, quote, "He chose to let go to give space to his brothers to grow."

DID THE UNIVERSITY OF IOWA USE ASHTON KUTCHER AND DEMI MOORE TO BREAK NCAA REGULATIONS?

The University of Iowa allegedly tried to schmooze some potential basketball recruits by bringing them to an Iowa football game a few weeks ago . . . where they got to meet ASHTON KUTCHER and DEMI MOORE. --Ashton briefly attended Iowa, and he goes to a lot of games. At least two recruits have admitted in published reports that they met Ashton. One of them . . . a kid named Marcus Paige . . . even Tweeted a picture of himself with Ashton. --The NCAA prohibits potential recruits from meeting with people who represent a school's athletic interests. Ashton is a very public Hawkeyes fan and donor. --The NCAA is investigating . . . but the most this would probably amount to is a minor violation.

TWO MEN WERE REMOVED FROM A FLIGHT GILLES MARINI WAS ON:

Actor GILLES MARINI had about the biggest scare you can have in the post-9/11 world, when two men were removed from a plane he was on for suspicious reasons. (--Gilles came in second on Season 8 of "Dancing With the Stars", and currently plays Sarah's French lover Luc on ABC's "Brothers and Sisters".) --Gilles had boarded his plane in New York City, bound for L.A., on Saturday morning. But before it could take off, law enforcement officials quietly hauled two passengers and their luggage off the plane. --The men were taken away in police cars . . . but we don't know why. --Gilles says, quote, "It was so intense. They were not joking at all. Police came up pretty silent and removed the guys. Next to me there was an Air Marshall. Everything was so bizarre and scary. --"Some people were pretty freaked out, especially one woman that was crying." (--Just the day before, explosives were found in packages addressed to synagogues in the Chicago area. They were intercepted at airports in England and the United Arab Emirates.) (--Police believe Al-Qaeda is the culprit . . . and they're now saying that the bombs appear to have been set to go off mid-flight, instead of when they reached the places they were addressed to.)

JENN STERGER'S SHOW ON VERSUS HAS BEEN CANCELED:

JENN STERGER hasn't been able to turn her starring role in the BRETT FAVRE sex scandal into ratings for her cable show. The Versus network has canceled "The Daily Line" . . . which Jenn hosted . . . due to low ratings. --Her manager doesn't seem to think the firing has anything to do with the scandal. He called it, quote, "unfortunate, [but] part of the business." --And for the record, Jenn hasn't TRIED to parlay her "fame" into ANYTHING yet. In fact, she's been giving the impression so far that she doesn't WANT notoriety for the Favre scandal. (--Speaking of Brett Favre . . . he was knocked out of Minnesota's game against the New England Patriots yesterday, after taking a vicious hit that sent him to the locker room to receive 10 stitches on his chin.) (--The Vikings lost the game 28 to 18, and saw their record drop to 2 and 5.) (--Brett will most likely be ready to play next week, but if he doesn't take the field, that'll end his NFL record of consecutive starts for a quarterback at 292.) (--Brett is actually second on the all-time list for players of ALL positions. But the all-time leader is punter Jeff Feagles, who had 352 consecutive starts. He retired last year.)

"SAW 3D" MADE $22.5 MILLION OVER THE HALLOWEEN WEEKEND:

The seventh and supposedly final installment of the "Saw" series took the top spot at the Halloween weekend box office. "Saw 3D" earned $22.5 million, which is a nice improvement over the miserably low $14 million that "Saw 6" opened with last year. --"Saw 3D" was the only new movie in theaters this weekend. "Paranormal Activity 2" came in second after pulling in another $16.5 million.
1.) (NEW) "Saw 3D", $22.5 million . . . or $24.2 million when you count what it pulled in with its Thursday night previews.
2.) "Paranormal Activity 2", $16.5 million (--Up to $65.7 million in its 2nd week.)
3.) "Red", $10.8 million (--Up to $58.9 million in its 3rd week.)

RON HOWARD WON'T DROP THE LINE, "ELECTRIC CARS ARE GAY" FROM HIS UPCOMING MOVIE, "THE DILEMMA":

The controversy over VINCE VAUGHN'S "electric cars are gay" line in his upcoming movie, "The Dilemma", rages on. --Because director RON HOWARD wrote a letter to the "Los Angeles Times" to explain why he's NOT removing it from the film. --Basically, his reasoning is that the line is important for what it says about Vaughn's character . . . but it does NOT reflect how anyone connected to the film actually feels. --He says, quote, "[Vaughn's character] has a mouth that sometimes gets him into trouble and he definitely flirts with the line of what's okay to say. He tries to do what's right but sometimes falls short. Who can't relate to that?" --He adds, quote, "We never expected [the joke] to represent our intentions or the point of view of the movie or those of us who made it. I don't strip my films of everything that I might personally find inappropriate. --"If storytellers, comedians, actors and artists are strong armed into making creative changes, it will endanger comedy as both entertainment and provoker of thought."

"SOPRANOS" ACTRESS DENISE BORINO-QUINN HAS PASSED AWAY:

"Sopranos" actress DENISE BORINO-QUINN died of cancer last Wednesday. She was 46. (--Denise played Johnny Sack's wife Ginny Sacramoni.) --She appeared in 17 episodes from 2001 through 2007. --"The Sopranos" was Denise's only acting gig. Before landing the role, she was a legal secretary and a part-time manicurist. (--You can watch Denise in action below. ***WARNING***: This clip includes UNCENSORED profanity.) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ssg2CPO3Q3I

ABC IS STILL WORKING ON THAT NEW "CHARLIE'S ANGELS" SHOW:

ABC has been developing a new "Charlie's Angels" series for a while, but now it seems like it's finally on the way. (--That being said, who knows. It always seems like it's going to happen, but nothing has come of it yet.) --The network will produce a pilot . . . so they're going to begin a casting search. Basically, this means the show has made another step toward making it to TV, but for now, ABC hasn't committed to anything beyond the pilot.

JULIA LOUIS-DREYFUS MAY PLAY THE VICE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES IN A NEW HBO COMEDY:

JULIA LOUIS-DREYFUS is reportedly in talks to star in an upcoming HBO comedy called "Veep". She would be playing a female senator, who becomes the vice president. Nothing's official yet. (--There aren't any details on this show yet, but I liked Julia on "Seinfeld" and "New Adventures of Old Christine" . . . so if this happens, I'd check it out.)

THE GUY WHO PLAYED ROLFE IN "THE SOUND OF MUSIC" IS UPSET THAT HE WASN'T INVITED TO BE A PART OF THE REUNION ON "OPRAH":

There was a "Sound of Music" reunion on "Oprah" last Thursday. It featured CHRISTOPHER PLUMMER, JULIE ANDREWS, and the actors who played the seven Von Trapp children. --But Daniel Truhitte, who played Liesl's boyfriend Rolfe, is upset that he wasn't invited to be a part of the reunion. He says, quote, "How can you not include Rolfe? I was the male juvenile lead, a main part of the story . . . it's beyond me." --In response, a rep for "Oprah" tells TMZ, quote, "Our show was a reunion of the Von Trapp 'family.' Mr. Truhitte's character was not part of that group." (--Not to mention that Rolfe ended up being a TRAITOR who joins the Nazi party and tries to keep the family from escaping. But let's not dwell on that.)

JON BON JOVI IS THINKING ABOUT DOING ANOTHER SOLO ALBUM:

JON BON JOVI is thinking about recording another solo album once he finishes his current tour, which runs through next July. --He hasn't decided for sure yet, but he says he's considering a, quote, "smaller-sounding solo record, [which will be] a lyric-driven, acoustic-sounding kind of thing with piano, a couple guitars, [an organ] and a violin." --He adds, quote, "I do these solo things oftentimes for charity, and I enjoy the atmosphere because it really gives the singer a chance to sing. You're not competing with the loud amps. So I could see myself doing a singer's type of a record." --Jon recorded two projects on his own in the '90s. He did "Blaze of Glory", which served as the soundtrack for "Young Guns 2" . . . and in 1997, he put out an album called "Destination Anywhere". (--Bon Jovi will release a hits album next Tuesday. It'll feature five new tracks.)

AND NOW . . . DIGITAL ALBUM SALES ARE ON A DOWNTURN:

For the past five years or so, CD sales have been in a sharp decline, and the only positive for the music industry was that digital album sales were consistently growing . . . although not by enough to compensate for the CD freefall. --But now, digital album sales are in their first prolonged slump. --According to "Billboard", digital album sales have been down for the first three "quarters" of this year. Each quarter represents a three-month period. (--The first quarter is January through March, the second is April through June, the third is July through September, and the last is October through December.) --Sales were down 5% in the first quarter, 7% in the second and 3% in the third. --Last year, there were "slight" declines in the second and third quarters . . . but it picked up in the fourth quarter, and since there are some big albums coming out before Christmas, the slump might break in the fourth quarter. --Those albums include Taylor Swift's new one, which came out last week, plus upcoming releases by Kanye West, Keith Urban, Rascal Flatts, Susan Boyle, Kid Rock, Nicki Minaj, Rihanna, Ne-Yo, Good Charlotte, My Chemical Romance . . . --And of course, Justin Bieber, who's putting out an acoustic disc later this month.

RIHANNA'S NEW ALBUM WILL FEATURE A SEQUEL TO HER "LOVE THE WAY YOU LIE" DUET WITH EMINEM . . . BUT IT ALMOST DIDN'T:

Rihanna's new album, "Loud", will feature a sequel to her "Love the Way You Lie" duet with eminem. The original was the second single off Eminem's last album, "Recovery". --The new song will be called "Love the Way You Lie (Part 2)" . . . and naturally, it'll also be a collaboration with Eminem. But it almost didn't make the cut, because Rihanna wasn't into doing it at first. --She tells MTV News, quote, "When I first heard the idea about doing a Part Two, I was just completely against it. I just felt like you couldn't beat the original. There's no way you can outdo that, so why compete with it?" --But they recorded a few new versions anyway, and Rihanna changed her mind. She says, quote, "I fell in love with it. [It] just felt really good." --In addition to the "Part Two" that will appear on the album, another "stripped-down" version will be released as an iTunes exclusive. (--"Loud" comes out next Tuesday.) (--By the way, Rihanna and ANDY SAMBERG did another "Shy Ronnie" Digital Short on "Saturday Night Live" this weekend. You can watch it, here . . .)

OZZY OSBOURNE DOESN'T LIKE TOUCHING THE DOOR TO A PUBLIC RESTROOM AFTER WASHING HIS HANDS:

Here's OZZY OSBOURNE'S biggest health-related pet peeve: --He says, quote, "[Here's] something that drives me nuts: When I use public toilets, I wash my hands after I've been to the (effing) bathroom. But then I have to open the (effing) door where all those other filthy hands have been. --"What's the (effing) deal with that? I'm not germophobic, but I don't want to touch some door handle that's had more (rhymes with STICKS) on it than a (effing) whorehouse." (--Haven't we all thought the same thing at one point or another?) (--I've always felt they should have a garbage can OUTSIDE the bathroom door, so you can use a paper towel to touch the door handle, then toss it out and move on to a slightly less germ-free environment.)

NAZZY’S RANDOM STUFF

BIG DRINKERS WHO CUT BACK STILL DRINK WAY MORE THAN AVERAGE PEOPLE:

I guess "cutting back on your drinking" is VERY relative. A new study out of the University of California, San Francisco, has found that when heavy drinkers decide to cut back, they still drink WAY, WAY more than average people. --The study found that male heavy drinkers who cut back still drink 160% more alcohol than the average man . . . which would mean they have eight drinks for every five an average guy puts down. --Female heavy drinkers who cut back still drink 223% more alcohol than the average woman . . . or about 11 drinks for every five an average woman puts down. (UPI)

A NEW WEBSITE SELLS SUCCESSFUL IVY LEAGUE COLLEGE APPLICATIONS . . . SO YOU CAN SEE WHAT IT TAKES TO GET IN:

If you really want your precious little angel to go to an Ivy League school . . . but deep down you suspect he's got Arizona State written all over him . . . this website could help you figure things out. --It's called WeGotIn.net and it collects successful recent applications from Ivy League schools. For $19.99 you can buy a package of successful applications, and see what it took for other kids to get in. --Right now they're just selling applications from Columbia and Brown . . . but they say they're planning to have all eight Ivys, plus Stanford and M.I.T., by next year. (WeGotIn)

A JUDGE IN NEW YORK DECIDED THAT YOU CAN SUE A FOUR-YEAR-OLD:

I guess this is an important thing to know in a country where everybody is always suing everybody else: A judge in New York has ruled that you can sue anyone, as long as they're older than FOUR YEARS OLD. -Last April, two four-year-olds named Juliet Breitman and Jacob Kohn were racing their bikes on the sidewalk in Manhattan while their moms watched. --During their race, an 87-year-old woman named Claire Menagh stepped out onto the sidewalk. Both Juliet and Jacob ran into her, fractured her hip, and sent her to the hospital for surgery. She died three months later from unrelated causes. --Now, her family is suing the two four-year-olds and their mothers, saying they were negligent. --The little boy's family didn't challenge the lawsuit, but the little girl's family did . . . they want the suit dismissed because their daughter was too young to be held liable for negligence. --But last week, Justice Paul Wooten of the New York State Supreme Court in Manhattan said that the lawsuit CAN go forward. In the past, courts have ruled that a child under four isn't capable of negligence. --But since Juliet was older than four . . . she was only three months away from turning five . . . the lawsuit can continue. There's no word on how much money the Menaghs are seeking. (New York Times)

A MAN IN FLORIDA JUST HIT THE ONE MILLION MILE MARK ON HIS PICKUP TRUCK . . . IN FOUR YEARS:

There are two things here that are INSANE. --First, Phil Marsella just hit ONE MILLION MILES on his Ford F250 pickup truck. Any vehicle that makes it to the one million mark has beaten some enormous odds. --But the second thing might be even crazier. Phil's pickup is a 2006. That's right: He put one million miles on it in FOUR YEARS. --Phil lives in Port St. Lucie, Florida, and makes a living transporting racing greyhounds around the country. Which is how he's putting 250,000 miles on his truck every year. (--That works out to an insane 685 miles every single day.) --He takes his truck in for maintenance to the same shop every time . . . a place called Total Tire in Palm City, Florida. In the four years, they've done about $67,000 worth of work on the truck. --That includes only ONE new engine . . . they switched out the original engine with a new one at the 400,000-mile mark. --And the truck is still going strong. (Treasure Coast Palm)

A 73-YEAR-OLD MAN RIDES HIS WHEELCHAIR THROUGH THREE MILES OF SNOW AND ICE TO GET HELP AFTER HE AND HIS SISTER GET STRANDED:

73-year-old Howard Partridge of Sweet Home, Oregon deserves MAJOR credit today for being a total badass . . . and also a really solid older brother. --Last week, Howard and his 61-year-old sister Janice Partridge were driving up a forest service road near Quartzville, Oregon, looking at fall foliage . . . when a snowstorm hit and they were trapped. --After spending two days stuck in their SUV, Howard decided he was going to go get help for himself and his little sister. So he pulled out his motorized wheelchair . . . and headed out into the snow. --Howard is in a wheelchair for back problems. --He ended up rolling THREE MILES through snow and ice before he found a group of deer hunters. They drove him back to his SUV and helped pull it out of the snow. --A search-and-rescue mission had already been launched for the Partridges, but obviously it hadn't found them yet. --The Partridges had food and snacks in their SUV and were both in good health when they were rescued. (The Oregonian)

A BULLET THAT'S BEEN LODGED IN A GERMAN TREE SINCE WORLD WAR TWO ENDS UP INJURING TWO GERMAN SENIOR CITIZENS:

--On Thursday, an 85-year-old man and his 84-year-old wife in Bielefeld, Germany were using some wood they'd cut to start a fire in their fireplace. But they didn't realize that an old, live bullet from World War Two was lodged in one of the logs. --And when it heated up in the fire . . . it EXPLODED. Wood flew everywhere, it shattered windows . . . and injured BOTH the husband and wife. The woman had cuts on her face, and the man had cuts on his hand. --A police spokesman says the bullet must've been absorbed inside of a growing tree during the war, so the tree grew around it and preserved it. (Monsters and Critics)

A VETERINARIAN WAS BITTEN AND CLAWED . . . BY AN ANGRY WOMAN:

Bites and scratches are pretty much par for the course when you're a veterinarian. But you expect those to come from dogs and cats . . . not PSYCHOTIC HUMANS. --Gina Brashear is a vet in Fort Myers, Florida. And last week, she was attacked, bitten, and clawed by a very angry female customer. A HUMAN customer. --That customer was 61-year-old Kathleen Minneker of Alva, Florida. She was an hour late when she dropped off her two Shih Tzus. --But Kathleen still expected the dogs to be done at the originally scheduled time . . . and when she showed up and they were still being groomed, she went NUTS. --She started screaming, "Where are my dogs?" and stormed down the hallways of the clinic. So Gina . . . the veterinarian . . . tried to calm her down. That's when Kathleen bit, punched and clawed at Gina until Gina could push her off. --Kathleen was arrested and charged with battery. --Gina is now on seven different medications to stop infections from the bites. (Fort Myers News-Press)

A MAN TRACKS DOWN THE PRIEST WHO MOLESTED HIM AS A CHILD . . . AND BEATS THE HELL OUT OF HIM IN HIS RETIREMENT HOME:

This might be the only case I can remember where someone beat the hell out of a senior citizen in a nursing home . . . and no one we've talked to has ANY problem with it. --William Lynch of San Francisco, California is 44 years old. When he was seven, he and his five-year-old brother were molested and raped by a Jesuit priest named Jerold Lindner. --In 1997, Lynch and his brother sued the Jesuits and got a $625,000 settlement. But that clearly wasn't going to make up for the pain. Not even close. --So earlier this year, Lynch hunted down Lindner, who's now 65. Lynch finally tracked him down at a retirement home in Los Gatos, California . . . and went to see him. --Lynch asked Lindner, quote, "Do you remember me? You abused me and my brother." And then Lynch BEAT HIM. Badly. He punched him repeatedly, leaving his entire body covered in bruises. Lynch fled, and Lindner was hospitalized. --On Friday, the police arrested Lynch on suspicion of assault by means of force likely to produce great bodily injury, which is a felony. --Besides Lynch and his brothers, at least a dozen other people have accused Lindner of abuse. He's never been criminally convicted, but the Jesuits have settled several of the lawsuits for a total of $660 MILLION. (San Jose Mercury News)

For Halloween this year, a 7-year-old kid in Texas named Liam Roybal decided to go as RON WASHINGTON . . . the BALD coach of the Texas Rangers. And Liam went ALL OUT. His parents even let him shave the top of his head so he'd look bald. -The costume was so good, a local news station did a story on it, and it got Liam invited to last night's World Series game in Arlington. SIX WAYS TO PREVENT ALZHEIMER'S:

Alzheimer's disease is most common in people over the age of 65, but it can also affect people who are much younger. Extreme cases have been diagnosed in their late twenties and early thirties. -November is Alzheimer's Awareness Month, so here's a list of six things you can do to keep your brain healthy, no matter how old you are . . .

#1.) KEEP YOUR CHOLESTEROL UNDER CONTROL. Alzheimer's is the most common form of dementia. And in a 40-year study of 10,000 men and women, researchers found that dementia is linked to high cholesterol. -If patients had high cholesterol in their 40's, but didn't do anything to lower it, they were more likely to develop dementia in their 70 and 80's.

#2.) HAVE YOUR EYES CHECKED. If you have bad vision and you don't do anything about it, your chances of developing dementia increase by 63 percent.

#3.) USE THE INTERNET. Googling something is better for certain parts of your brain than READING is. --According to researchers at UCLA, searching the Internet stimulates the parts of your brain responsible for decision-making and complex reasoning. Reading doesn't.

#4.) DRINK MORE JUICE. Researchers at Vanderbilt University found that people who drank fruit or vegetable juice more than three times a week were 76% less likely to develop Alzheimer's.

#5.) TAKE CARE OF YOUR TEETH. Some doctors think memory loss is dictated by how many infections you have in your lifetime. They think the inflammation sends toxic by-products to your brain that kill off brain cells. --And a study by the University of West Virginia School of Dentistry might back that theory up. According to the study, people with tooth and gum disease . . . which is a type of infection . . . consistently score lower on memory tests. --And if you don't take good care of your teeth and floss, your gums could be infected for years without you knowing.

#6.) GET MARRIED AND STAY MARRIED. Middle-aged people who get divorced, or who never get married in the first place, are two-to-three times more likely to develop dementia. (AOLHealth.com)
