TEXTING WHILE DRIVING DANGER

I'm going to assume you know just how stupid it is to drive while under the influence. But it turns out there's something that's even MORE dangerous while you're driving . . . that people do all the time. So what is it?
--Driving while texting.
According to a recent study, drivers who are under the influence of marijuana have 21% slower reaction times . . . and people who are at the legal alcohol limit have 12% slower reaction times.
(--Just so we're clear, the legal alcohol limit in most states is .08. In other words, if you're driving around completely blitzed . . . your reaction time is going to be MUCH slower than this 12% figure indicates.)
--But get this . . . drivers who are reading or writing text messages have reaction times . . . that are 35% slower. And, according to the study, people who text while they're driving are more likely to maintain unsafe distances from other cars . . . and tend to drift out of their lane more often than drivers who are drunk or high. (Breitbart)
(--In other words, don't be an idiot and text while driving. It's completely unsafe. And, for that matter, don't drive drunk or high either.)
