HOLLYWOOD DIRT OVERFLOW (05-04-10)

HOLLYWOOD DIRT OVERFLOW
DAVID BOREANAZ ADMITS HE CHEATED ON HIS WIFE . . . WAS RACHEL UCHITEL HIS MISTRESS???

Last October, the "Star" tabloid claimed that "Bones" actor DAVID BOREANAZ cheated on his wife, JAIME BERGMAN, while she was pregnant with their daughter Bardot. --The story was that David's mistress dumped him shortly after Bardot's birth that August, because David had promised to leave his wife for her, but didn't follow through. --The alleged other woman was someone we were just about to become very familiar with: TIGER WOODS' #1 mistress, RACHEL UCHITEL. (--The Boreanaz story broke just one month before Tiger's scandal.) --Well, yesterday, David ADMITTED to cheating on his wife. But he didn't say WHO he cheated with or WHEN. So we don't know if any of the aforementioned rumors are true. --Here's what he did say . . . quote, "Our marriage has been tainted with my infidelities. I just want to be open and honest. I was irresponsible." --Like all the other CHEATING PIGS who've come clean lately, David only learned how to be honest because he was ABOUT TO GET CAUGHT. --He said, quote, "I was associated with a woman who I was involved with and had a relationship with. She asked for money. I felt as though I was being blackmailed or there was some sort of extortion." --In other words, she was about to go to the media if he didn't pay up. A few gossip websites claim that this mistress has hired an attorney. And you'll never guess who it is. --Actually, you'll guess it immediately. It's GLORIA ALLRED. (--TMZ claims that Gloria went to David's attorney and demanded SIX FIGURES. But that sounds EXACTLY like extortion. No attorney would be that stupid. Especially not one as high profile as Gloria.) (--There must be more to the story than that.) --RadarOnline.com claims that Rachel Uchitel IS the woman in question here . . . and that she DID hire Gloria Allred. But they also say that a SECOND mistress of David's has since hired Gloria, too. --As for the marriage . . . which is about nine years old . . . David says, quote, "We're working on our marriage. We're working on repairing what has been damaged so badly." (--David and Jaime have an 8-year-old son named Jaden. Bardot is 8 months old.)

DID JOHNNY DEPP SAVE HIS FRIEND FROM BEING MUGGED IN LOS ANGELES???

Any celebrity news that comes from Britain's "Sun" tabloid is immediately suspect. So the "news" I'm about to share with you is probably a complete fabrication. But it's one of those stories that's just too fun to ignore. --JOHNNY DEPP reportedly saved his friend from being mugged by some goon who attacked him with a broken bottle. --Supposedly, Johnny had been at a Los Angeles recording studio with British singer Stephen Jones, to lay down a guitar solo for a song by Jones' band, Babybird. --As they left the studio, the thug attacked. A so-called "source" says, quote, "It was an extremely scary moment. This guy looked off his head. Johnny looked him straight in the eyes and told him to back off. --"He looked at Johnny and said, 'I ain't stealing from Captain Jack', and put the bottle down." --And here's the kicker: Johnny didn't just save his friend. He also helped out the would-be mugger. The source says, quote, "Johnny gave him a few bucks and told him to straighten up his life."

MICHAEL DOUGLAS SAYS PRISON WILL BE GOOD FOR HIS SON:

When MICHAEL DOUGLAS' 31-year-old son CAMERON was sentenced to five years in prison for operating a methamphetamine ring, it was a mixed blessing. --Obviously, Michael didn't want to see his son go up the river for five years. But at the same time, he realizes this might be the best thing that could happen to him. --On yesterday's "Today" show, Michael said, quote, "My son has not been sober for this length of time since he was 13 years old. --"So he was going to be dead or somebody was gonna kill him, and I think he has a chance to start a new life and he knows that. And from my understanding, it's going to take that amount of time for him to rebuild and start himself afresh." --Michael added, quote, "He's a great young man. And I wouldn't be supporting him if I didn't feel that way." --Michael also admitted he didn't necessarily provide Cameron with the most stable environment growing up . . . quote, "I've taken blame about being a bad father . . . if being a bad father is working your butt off trying to create a career at one time. --"When I had Cameron I was early in my career and as opposed to most jobs, making movies takes you all around the world, so you were absentee in that sense. --"My priorities have completely changed. My marriage and my families come certainly before my career." (--Michael and CATHERINE ZETA-JONES have two young children: A 9-year-old son named Dylan and a 7-year-old daughter named Carys.)

CHARLIE SHEEN AND BROOKE MUELLER SAY THEY'RE NOT DIVORCING:

Stories about the impending divorce of CHARLIE SHEEN and BROOKE MUELLER continue to pile up. There's only one problem: They're not divorcing. At least that's what their people are saying right now. --Brooke's lawyer teamed up yesterday with one of the producers of Charlie's sitcom, "Two and a Half Men", to release a joint statement denying various rumors. --They said, quote, "Please let us clarify this: They are not seeking a divorce nor has one been contemplated. There [have] been no financial agreements between the parties of any sort. Stories to the contrary are false." --And Brooke's attorney added, quote, "This is a difficult time and they need space to see if they can work things out or not." But he also added, quote, "There have definitely been discussions involving finances while Brooke and Charlie go through this tough period. --"While they are working out their issues there are financial discussions that need to take place, but nothing has happened formally." --Charlie and Brooke ARE living apart at this time. Brooke moved out of the family home with the twins last week. (--Meanwhile, sources close to Charlie's negotiations with CBS say that both sides are optimistic that a deal can be reached to keep Charlie on "Two and a Half Men" for two more years. We'll keep you posted.)
MICHAEL JACKSON'S FATHER AND BROTHER SAY MICHAEL WAS *NOT* GAY:

MICHAEL JACKSON'S father JOE and his brother JERMAINE say that Dr. Arnold Klein is FULL OF CRAP when he says Michael was gay. --Joe says, quote, "It's not true. Michael was not gay. [Klein] has no respect for Michael . . . to say things about him when he's gone is shameful. --"He's a doctor and knows better than to break his vows against a patient." --Oddly enough, Joe was the more eloquent of the two. Jermaine went OFF when he was asked about Klein's allegations. He said, quote, "(Eff) him, he's full of (crap). Michael was not gay." (--Here's video of Jermaine's comments . . .)

BRET MICHAELS HAS BEGUN WALKING:

BRET MICHAELS' sister Michelle gave another update on her brother's condition yesterday. --She said, quote, "[He's] definitely doing better and he has started to walk a little bit." --But that doesn't mean he's completely out of the woods. Michelle added, quote, "He's up and moving but it is not going to surprise me if he is still in the ICU on Friday. I think they're having a problem really getting the bleed." --Michelle said the blood from the brain hemorrhage is starting to drain, and it's causing Bret a lot of back pain. --Bret's doctors are holding a press conference TODAY at noon to discuss his condition, treatment and prognosis.

THERE WON'T BE ANOTHER "RAMBO" MOVIE:

We'd been hearing that there was going to be a fifth "Rambo" movie . . . and that, tragically, it was going to pit Rambo against some kind of genetically-engineered Bigfoot-type monster. --Well, nobody has to worry about that kind of silliness ruining the Rambo "legacy" . . . (--If you're one of those people who believe there's a "Rambo" legacy worth protecting, that is) . . . because it's not happening anymore. --SYLVESTER STALLONE says, quote, "I think Rambo's pretty well done. I don't think there'll be any more. I'm about 99% sure. --"I was going to do it . . . But for Rambo to go on another adventure might be, I think, misinterpreted as a mercenary gesture and not necessary. I don't want that to happen."

NOW, PARAMOUNT HAS KILLED "ZOOLANDER 2":

"Anchorman 2" isn't the only sequel Paramount is denying us. They also pulled the plug on "Zoolander 2". --BEN STILLER Tweeted the news yesterday. ABRAMS . . . the producer behind the new "Star Trek" movie and the series "Lost", "Alias", "Felicity" and "Fringe" . . . will have a new show on NBC. --It's called "Undercovers" . . . and it sounds a little like "Mr. & Mrs. Smith" or an updated version of "Hart to Hart". --Basically, it's about a married couple, who USED to be spies for the C.I.A. They're now retired . . . and own a catering business in L.A. . . . but one day, they are pulled back into action when one of their old spy buddies turns up missing. --It'll star BORIS KODJOE . . . from Showtime's "Soul Food" series . . . and British actress GUGU MBATHA-RAW. --It's expected to premiere sometime this fall.

THE BLACK EYED PEAS HIT "I GOTTA FEELING" IS NOW THE TOP-SELLING DIGITAL TRACK OF ALL TIME:

The BLACK EYED PEAS single, "I Gotta Feeling", is now the best-selling digital single of ALL TIME . . . or at least since July of 2003, when Nielsen Soundscan began tracking digital song sales. (--That was a little over two months after Apple launched iTunes.) --"I Gotta Feeling" has now been downloaded nearly 5.6 million times . . . legally. That's enough to push it past the previous #1, FLO RIDA'S, "Low", which has sold 5.5 million downloads. --And it isn't the only song the Peas have in the Top Five. "Boom Boom Pow" has now sold 5.3 million copies to place fourth. Here's the Top Five:

#1.) "I Gotta Feeling", BLACK EYED PEAS . . . 5,561,000 copies

CHRISTINA AGUILERA IS "DEFENDING" HER SEXY VIDEO:

Apparently, CHRISTINA AGUILERA has taken a little heat for the unadulterated SEXINESS of the video for her new single, "Not Myself Tonight". --She tells "Access Hollywood" that she still plans on being WILD . . . even though she's now a mother. In fact, it's all part of her parenting philosophy. --Christina explains, quote, "[My two-year-old son Max] is going to grow up in a household where he knows mommy expresses herself artistically and some of that will have to reflect itself sexually too, at times. --"He's going to learn to respect the fact that women are allowed to express themselves and not feel shameful about their bodies or their sexuality." (--Did you catch the P.R. move Christina did there? She responded to a "controversy" with an arguably MORE "controversial" defense. Brilliant.) --She adds, quote, "Mama still has to be me. I never claimed to be a cookie-cutter soccer mom. That's all good for some people. Not for me." (--See for yourself. Here again is the link to the video . . .)

ALICIA KEYS DOESN'T DO AUTO-TUNE:

ALICIA KEYS is cool with people using Auto-Tune or other voice-fixing technologies, but just so you know, she only does it au naturel. --She tells "Q" magazine, quote, "I never use Auto-Tune, or anything like that. I won't have that software in my life. I don't mind others using it. But if I can't sing on my own, then I'm not going to record it."

NAZZY’S RANDOM STUFF

A 15-YEAR-OLD WITH DOWN SYNDROME IS ABOUT TO GET HIS BLACK BELT IN KARATE!

This is a really UNBELIEVABLE story out of Howell, in eastern Michigan. 15-year-old Adam Stone has Down syndrome . . . mentally, he's at about a fourth-grade level. He also has autism, asthma and was born with four holes in his heart. --And, basically, he's said to the world: Eff all that. I'm getting my BLACK BELT in karate anyway. --Adam has been taking karate for years and, in the next few months, he should earn his black belt. --His instructor is Sam Larioza, who says that Adam has legitimately earned every belt along the way . . . no special treatment. Quote, "Earning a black belt is tough, but for Adam to get it, it's like . . . climbing Mount Everest." --Outside of karate, Adam also plays basketball for a Special Olympics team and has a girlfriend. (--We don't know more details about the girlfriend but, yes, this guy has clearly got his life in a pretty damn good place.) --His mother, Gwen, says, quote, "All that Adam has accomplished has been because of his strong will. My message to other parents would be to never give up on your child. Let your child follow their dreams. Everybody has a future." (Iron Mountain Daily / NBC 4 - Detroit)

HOW MANY GUYS DOES THE AVERAGE WOMAN DATE BEFORE SETTLING DOWN?

This is from a survey in the UK, but we're curious whether the results would be the same here. It's from a website called UKdating.com. They asked women how many guys they dated before finding one who was right for them. Here's what they found . . . --The average woman dates 24 guys before she meets the one she wants. That might sound like a lot, but it includes guys they 'dated' and guys they just 'went on dates with.'
--7 percent of women go on 41 to 60 dates before finding someone they like. --And 1 percent of women said they'd been on 61 to 80 dates before finding someone they liked. --A third of women have left halfway through a date after deciding the other person was definitely WRONG for them. --And one in four women will meet a guy just once before deciding whether or not he is "the one." --35 percent will give a man two dates, and 16 percent make their decision after three dates. --And even when a guy pays, a single date costs a woman around $127, which factors in the money she spends on her hair, clothes, tanning (???) getting there, and contributing to food, drinks, and entertainment. (WDSU / Daily Mail)

WHICH 10 FOODS DO PEOPLE HATE THE MOST?

#1.) Liver
#2.) Blue cheese (--This is really the only one on the list that surprised us.)
#3.) Eggplant
#4.) Okra
#5.) Sardines
#6.) Lima beans
#7.) Brussels sprouts
#8.) Grits
#9.) Hard-boiled eggs
#10.) Beets

DO YOU SUFFER FROM "E-MAIL RAGE"?

I'm one of those rare people who thinks we should stop trying to diagnose every little personality quirk and just go back to being accountable for our own behavior and decisions. (--Crazy, I know.) --According to Linda Stone, who used to work for both Microsoft and Apple, in her research she's discovered something called "E-MAIL RAGE" . . . which is where you get an e-mail, FLIP OUT, and instantly shoot back an angry response. --It happens when you get an e-mail that feels like an attack . . . usually one with a lot of capital letters and exclamation points . . . and you temporarily lose control. --And that can cost you . . . because 26% of companies say they'd fire someone for e-mail misuse. --Linda says the next time you get an e-mail that ENRAGES you, try these five tips before you do something that could be potentially damaging.
#1.) Back away from the computer for a few minutes.
#2.) Write the e-mail, but don't put anyone's address in the "To" field. This gives you a way to vent without actually sending the e-mail when you're done.
#3.) Vent to another human, out loud. Instead of creating a permanent record of your venting, talk to someone unrelated to the situation.
#4.) Give people the benefit of the doubt. Since you can't pick up any non-verbal clues through e-mail, maybe you're misinterpreting what you're reading.
#5.) Confront the person offline. Talk on the phone or see them face-to-face to clear up the things that made you angry. This will make it MUCH easier to resolve things. (CNN)

A 73-YEAR-OLD GRANDMOTHER WAS ARRESTED AFTER SLAPPING HER GRANDDAUGHTER FOR CURSING AT HER:

73-year-old Theresa Collier of Largo, Florida, is our HERO of the day . . . and also a perfect example of why the justice system is BROKEN. -Last week, Theresa invited her granddaughter, 18-year-old Felicia Collier, over to use Theresa's computer to finish her homework. Felicia is trying to finish her senior year of high school online after getting kicked out of a Catholic school for swearing at a nun. --Well . . . on Tuesday, Felicia didn't want to do her homework. Theresa tried to get her to do it, so, according to Theresa, quote, "[Felicia] kept repeating the F-word to me, about the whole family. She just went on and on and I just got so upset." --So finally, Theresa couldn't take it anymore, and SLAPPED her granddaughter across the face. They struggled . . . Felicia PUNCHED her grandmother (!!!) . . . and then, Felicia called the police. --And when they came, they arrested . . . 73-year-old Theresa. The police said that because Felicia is 18, this technically counts as battery. They didn't say why Felicia was not arrested for hitting her grandmother back. --Theresa spent 24 hours in jail. Felicia signed a form not to prosecute, but, since it's a domestic violence case, the prosecutors can still choose whether or not to go after the battery charge. (CBS 10 - Tampa) (--Here's a local news report about the slap . . .) http://www.wtsp.com/video/default.aspx?bctid=82054285001

THE NUMBER OF POLICE WIRETAPS IS GOING UP . . . AND 100% OF WIRETAP REQUESTS ARE GETTING APPROVED:

If you're a regular, upstanding citizen, the police and FBI probably aren't listening in on all of your cell phone calls. But . . . just know that, if they wanted to, they could. Without ANY resistance from the legal system, either. --According to a report from the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts, in 2009, the courts authorized 2,376 wiretaps . . . which allow either the police or feds to listen in on someone's phone calls. --That's up 26% from 2008. And the craziest part: The courts approved 100% of the wiretap requests . . . not a SINGLE ONE was rejected. So if the authorities wanted to listen to someone's calls, the courts gave them the OK with no exception. --For every wiretap that gets approved, an average of 113 people's calls and text messages passed through the police or FBI. That means 268,488 people had at least one call or text monitored in 2009, a new record. Only 19% were incriminating. --The 2009 wiretaps led to 4,537 arrests and 678 convictions. 96% of the wiretaps were on cell phones in drug-related cases . . . in other words, 24 out of every 25 wiretaps are drug related. --These numbers don't include any wiretap orders in terrorism investigations . . . those are approved or rejected (--ha!) by a secret court in Washington, D.C. --The average wiretap costs taxpayers $52,200, meaning that, last year, more than $124 MILLION was spent on monitoring phone calls and texts. (Wired)

TWELVE OF THE MOST FINANCIALLY STRESSED COUNTIES IN THE U.S. ARE IN CALIFORNIA:

The Associated Press just put out a new list of the 20 most and least economically stressed counties in the U.S. The list measures how badly a county is affected by unemployment, foreclosure, bankruptcy and other signs of financial crisis. --And, as usual, California is in the most trouble. Twelve of the 20 most stressed counties are in California, including six of the top seven. -Imperial County, California, is the most stressed county in the U.S. It's in southeast California and borders both Arizona and Mexico . . . the biggest city is El Centro and it relies on the agricultural and energy industries. --Imperial County has an insanely high 27% unemployment rate, which is the highest of any county in the U.S. (--But, randomly, a lot of "Return of the Jedi" was filmed there, so it's got that going for it, which is nice.) --The least-stressed counties are almost all in the Midwest . . . the top six are all in Kansas and South Dakota . . . and Nebraska, North Dakota and Oklahoma also have multiple entries on the list. (Yahoo News)

FIVE EXERCISE EXCUSES AND HOW TO BEAT THEM:

If you hate working out, you'll make all sorts of excuses to skip the gym. Here are five common exercise excuses and how to beat them . . .

#1.) "I DON'T HAVE TIME." Check out a website called ExcerciseTV.tv. It's got hundreds of "Mini Workouts" that are anywhere from one to four minutes long. They're perfect if you have a short attention span when it comes to working out. --It doesn't sound like a lot, and you're supposed to get at least 150 minutes of moderate-intensity exercise each week, but the "Mini Workouts" can add up.

#2.) "I DON'T KNOW HOW." If you don't even know where to start, go online. On websites like FreeTrainers.com, you can enter your fitness level, your goals, and the type of equipment you're using, and it'll give you a customized workout plan.

#3.) "HOME EQUIPMENT IS TOO EXPENSIVE." Some of the big workout machines are thousands of dollars. But you don't really need all that stuff.
--You can get a solid workout with one set of dumbbells, which cost about $30, and one of those big bouncy exercise balls, which cost about $20.

#4.) "I DON'T LIKE WORKING OUT ALONE." On MeetUp.com and ExerciseFriends.com, you can type in your zip code and find people who are looking for someone to go jogging with, or biking, or rowing . . . basically anything. --You can even type in specific things like "hiking with your dog."

#5.) "I HATE IT." If you just can't stand working out, you have to find a way to make it fun. If your kid already has a Nintendo Wii, look no further. --You'll have to buy the Wii Fit Balance Board, which is $100, but once you've got it, you can do more than 60 activities, like strength training, ski jumping, or just the hula hoop. If you DON'T have a Nintendo Wii, a new one will cost you $200. (Reader's Digest)
