ONE BIG FISH!

A MAN CAUGHT A 21-POUND CATFISH WITH HIS GRANDDAUGHTER'S BARBIE FISHING ROD:

On August 5th, 56-year-old David Hayes of Elkin, North Carolina, and his 3-year-old granddaughter, Alyssa, were doing some fishing in the pond behind David's house. At some point, Alyssa asked David to hold her Barbie fishing rod while she went inside to use the bathroom. --But just a few moments after Alyssa handed over her fishing rod, David got a bite . . . and after a 25-minute struggle, he finally reeled in a 21-pound, one-ounce catfish. --According to the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission, that's the largest catfish ever to be caught in the state. (Winston-Salem Journal)
(--For the record, the catfish was 32 inches long . . . which is two inches longer than Alyssa's Barbie fishing pole.)
Hey, I used to have my GI Joe's dive for worms. Does that count for anything?? -- LOL! -- Nazzy
