Ok, ladies. Here is a little free advice when you start dating a guy you like & you want to do everything you can to make sure he likes you back. So here are four things you can do at the beginning of a relationship to win him over . . .

#1) APPRECIATE HIS EFFORT. If he planned the date, tell him that you're having a good time. Whether the date was something more conservative and traditional, or he went all-out to make sure you had fun, let him know his energy wasn't wasted.

#2) EMBRACE THE AWKWARDNESS. An uneasy silence doesn't HAVE to be a mood killer. Make a joke about feeling nervous or tongue-tied to help you both relax, and he'll appreciate that YOU took the pressure off HIM.

#3) DON'T GRILL THE GUY. You probably have a lot of questions, but don't overdo it. It's a date, not a job interview. --Try to ask questions that are conversation starters. Ideally, you'll find topics that allow BOTH of you to learn about each other.

#4) DON'T PLAY TOO HARD-TO-GET. Sure . . . guys like the chase. But most men want to know that their effort is paying off.
