***HOW TO HOST A FOOTBALL PARTY***

College football starts in a couple weeks, and the NFL preseason is already in full swing. So here are three reminders on how to kick off this season with a great football party . . .

#1.) MAKE SURE YOUR TV IS FRONT AND CENTER. If you can't see your television from every angle, MOVE IT. Make sure you can see the screen no matter where you sit. --And most importantly, BEFORE your guests arrive, make sure your cable or satellite gets the game you're planning to watch.

#2.) SERVE FOOD BUFFET STYLE. It's easier on you AND your guests if you line up the food and let people serve themselves. Buy pre-made food or finish cooking before guests arrive. You don't want to slave over the grill and miss the game.

#3.) GO ALL OUT. Decorate your house in your team's colors. Wear your favorite player's jersey. And if you really want to go the extra mile . . . paint your face. --Your guests will appreciate the extra effort, and your enthusiasm will set the mood for the whole party.(eHow.com)

So, are you going to the Backstreet Boy concert this weekend at Meadowbrook?? Even if you don't care too much for the boys, you should go to see what I will be doing on stage.. That's right, one lucky (or shall we say "Unlucky") concert goer is going to have their head shaved & earn the right to sit in the front row!!

Would you do that to sit in the front row of your favorite band's show?? - I wouldn't.. See how it all goes down this Saturday at Meadowbrook.. Hey, maybe we can make it a double header & shave the new night girl, Ashley, bald too! LOL!!

So we just got news today about which communities will be getting federal aid to help clean up after the mess made by the recent tornado. Guess which county was LEFT OFF the list? Merrimack County...which happens to be the county that Epsom and Pittsfield are in - two of the hardest hit towns!! If you've been through Epsom lately, or seen the damage on the news, you'll realize just how ridiculous this is. So who do we have to blame for this idiotic blunder? President Bush, that's who! We know he messes up daily on a national level, but who would have thought that he'd have the ability to screw things up this locally, this close to home?

Countdown to BSB - Day #2

Hello there!

For my second day of revealing my love for the Backstreet Boys I will share some more embarassing tidbits to you. Yes, there's plenty of them to get through the week!

DAY 2:

When I was in my peak fanhood of the Backstreet Boys, I was your typical teenage girl with photos lining my walls of my bedroom... top to bottom. You could say I had my own Backstreet Boys wallpaper. I had memerobilia from everything... including something some non-diehard fans may not remember.

Nick Carter - my Boy Band crush back in the day - worked with Stan Lee to come up with a BSB Superhero Comic!! The action figures were released through Burger King in their Kids Meals. Yes, I went to every BK location in my area and bought these Kids Meals in order to obtail ALL action figures. They also released a sneak preview of a song off their Millenium album. I have that too...

Let me tell you how excited I am to inform you that the Backstreet Boys will be at Meadowbrook US Cellular Pavillion this Sunday! For those who don't know, I am a HUGE BSB fan!! It has been a 10 year love affair with them. This week, I plan on sharing some BSB memories with you as well as my endless love for the boyband (lol).


Day 1 of BSB week:

My first Backstreet Boys concert was September 3rd, 1998... yes, I realize how much that dates me. I drove with my friends to Providence, RI to see them on a school night. At the concert, Aaron Carter (BSB Nick Carter's lil bro) opened. Before the show, my friends and I managed to snag Aaron's autograph - totally cool! However, he was about 9 years old at the time... gotta love it.


After the show, we drove home EXHAUSTED from an AMAZING show experience. If you haven't seen the Backstreet Boys in concert, prepare to be amazed my friend!
