GET UP & WORK OUT!

HOW . . . AND WHY . . . YOU SHOULD EXERCISE IN THE MORNING...

Exercise in the morning can give you the energy and confidence to get you through the rest of your work-day . . . but it's easier said than done. Here are some tips to get you out of bed and active before work.

#1.) LAY OUT YOUR WORKOUT CLOTHES THE NIGHT BEFORE. This will save you time, and give you that extra bit of motivation you'll need when you wake up.

#2.) WAKE UP AT THE SAME TIME EVERY DAY. Even if you don't work out every morning, getting up at the same time will train your body to be alert and active earlier . . .

#3.) FIND A FRIEND TO HELP YOU STICK TO YOUR SCHEDULE. Tell your friends about your workout plan . . . Whether it's an exercise buddy or a support group, other people can help keep you motivated to work out every day.

#4.) EXPLORE DIFFERENT ACTIVITIES. Keep your workout interesting by trying different exercises, so you have some variety to keep you engaged . . . whether it's jogging, heading to the gym, or just stretching.

#5.) CREATE A PLAN OR A FITNESS GOAL. You need a way to measure your progress, so come up with a specific goal, and when you start seeing results, you'll be more motivated to put exercise before sleep every morning.

#6.) LISTEN TO YOUR FAVORITE MUSIC TO GET MOTIVATED. Hey, this one is simple. Just tune into JYY, we will keep you moving & motivated every morning!!

4 WAYS TO LOOK GOOD IN PHOTOS

You can't always be 100% prepared when someone suddenly wants to take a photo. So here are four steps to make sure you're looking your best in case your picture winds up on the internet.

#1.) KNOW YOUR BEST SMILE. Dig up old pictures to find your best smile, and practice it in front of the mirror until you can duplicate it . . . quickly and genuinely.

#2.) GET OUT OF DIRECT LIGHT. Bright light will highlight your faults . . . like making your receding hairline or bad complexion more noticeable. Find an excuse to get out of direct light when you see a camera pointed your way.

#3.) DON'T LOOK STRAIGHT AT THE CAMERA. Looking straight ahead can come across as posed or stiff . . . like a deer caught in the headlights. Ask some friends of the opposite sex to help you find your best side and then be sure it's always showing to the camera.

#4.) BLINK BEFORE THE PICTURE IS TAKEN. This is a surefire way to avoid the infamous "mid-blink" scenario that has ruined a million perfectly good photos. Don't be that guy. (AskMen.com)

HOW TO SET AN "INTERNAL ALARM CLOCK

Here are a few tips to help you to set up an "internal alarm clock" in the morning & get out of bed!

#1.) GET A DECENT AMOUNT OF SLEEP. The word "decent" is relative to what each one of us needs, but generally you should get between seven to nine hours of sleep a night. Adjust your bedtime depending on when you have to get up.

#2.) BLOCK OUT LIGHT. Darkness is a cue to your body that it's time to sleep. When you're trying to go to bed, the darker it is, the more likely you'll fall asleep.

#3.) ENVISON YOUR WAKE-UP TIME. Thinking about the time you want to wake up ACTUALLY prepares you to get up at that time.

#4.) EXPOSE YOURSELF TO LIGHT AS SOON AS YOU WAKE UP. Turning on the lights or opening the blinds gives your body the energy it needs to keep going for the rest of the day.

#5.) SET YOUR RADIO TO YOUR FAVORITE MORNING SHOW! - Well duh, you already knew this one! Make sure to wake up with the most music in the morning! Only on 105.5 JYY!!!

Back To Work!

Hey, it's AJ!

I'm back from vacation today. I spent all last week at home, hanging out with my wife and our baby daughter. The weather was great...we got a lot of pool time in! It was so weird detaching for a whole week, very little cell phone or email, just chillin'. It's great watching my daughter grow. She's already five months old! Now it's back to work for me, gearing up for some busy weeks ahead...we have New Hampshire Idol coming up, Free Ice Cream Fridays, and we're giving away a brand new Kia this summer!! Thanks for listening, and thanks for checking out the blog :)
